Movie: Michael MOORE - Sicko

My vote: 4/5

Yes, Michael MOORE is back. After his extra famous Farenheit 9/11, here is another documentary putting the finger where it hurts (litterally): Sicko.

Sicko is about the big failure that the American Health Insurance system is. The message is pretty simple: in USA, doctors are better paid if they don't save people, and if they deny health care to people in need. And then Michael MOORE goes around the world to see if in the other countries it's the same.

He went to Canada, UK, France, and Cuba, and showed that everywhere, health is free for everybody, where in USA you've got to pay big bucks to get only one for your fingers sewed back (because you can't afford to pay for two fingers).

Well, I must say, in Canada, health might be free, but not really. Dental are outrageously expensive for a start, not to mention get a pair of glasses. In UK and France the system is different, and yes, it's free.

In fact, in France, you must pay first, and then the government gives you your money back (around 70% of it). And you need to pay for a complementary if you really want to get full coverage (and refund). And they sure don't ask any victim for "approval" before any surgery or medical transportation. They do what is best for the victim.

I would recommend you Sicko, but just remember that Michael MOORE only shows what he wants to show, so not everything is exactly like he says. But it's always good to see somebody actually talking about it and saying "we've got a BIG problem", and pointing to the corrupted government and the big money companies who only care about... money.
